Firefox Search Bar NOT Working!!!

I upgraded to Karmic Koala and the Firefox Search Bar stopped functioning.

Firefox Search Bar

The Search Bar is the small area on the right of the Address bar.

If I give a keyword and press ENTER or click the 'Magnifying glass' icon, nothing happens.

Here is the fix:

1. Shut down firefox
2. Go to mozilla profile folder ( $HOME/.mozilla/firefox/<something> )
3. Rename formhistory.sqlite to something else

mv formhistory.sqlite formhistory.sqlite.bak

That's all :)

CAUTION: This file contains information about data you enter into web forms. These information will be lost!!!

That fix worked! Also for Firefox 3.6.3 on Windows XP

It worked! Thank you so much - this had been bothering the CRAP out of me!

Before you go to this extreme, you might also check whether you have the Hyperwords add-on installed. I was having trouble typing keywords into the Find box (CTRL + F). After trying several other things, with no success, I finally disabled Hyperwords and all is working perfectly now.

I hate to lose the cool functionality of this add-on, but until it is fixed, I'll have to live without Hyperwords.
