Yahoo! does not allow POP access for free mail accounts. I used to have YPops! to download mails to my e-mail client. But, now I am in Ubuntu and I can't get YPops! to run. So, I will get Yahoo! to grant me POP access. :)
Let's enable POP access for Yahoo! Mail.
1. Sign In to Yahoo! Mail
2. On top-right corner of the page, click on 'Options'. In the drop-down, click on 'Mail Options'
3. In the left menu, click on 'Account Information'. Enter mail password again (if asked).
4. Under 'Account Settings', click on 'Set language, site, and time zone'
5. Under 'New Setting' drop-down, select 'Yahoo! Asia'
6. Click on 'Finished'. Accept the agreement.
7. Sign Out and Sign In again
8. Repeat Step 2
9. In the left menu, click on 'POP & Forwarding'
10. Click on 'Set up or edit POP & Forwarding'
11. Check 'Web & POP Access'
12. Click 'Save'
Voila!!!
Now, we can download Yahoo! Mail directly using any mail client.

This still works and it is awesome. I used to use MacFreePops, but it stopped working during July 2010. I'm glad I can now get my Yahoo mail via MacOS Mail again. -- Thanks!
